We will cover some groundwork concepts and skills to prepare for a calm, safe ride. Where necessary we will work the horses ourselves if the problem is beyond the current skill level of the child. Once mounted, we usually run through a few specific exercises to help riders get their horse calm responsive and prepared for the activities ahead. Once again, if there are any issues that come up, we will address it and help the child/horse out. Once the group is operating smoothly we move onto some more fun and challenging exercises and may use the Hoof Ball or Cattle in the process!
